XFS Explorer is an integrated productivity tool for the ATM marketplace which incorporates the domain-specific knowledge of the CEN/XFS standard. The application makes possible to perform the following activities easily and quickly:

  • explore and learn the CEN/XFS specification;
  • test CEN/XFS service providers;
  • execute commands and queries on CEN/XFS service providers;
  • browse and edit the CEN/XFS configuration.

[Service Instance Form]Service Instance Form
Represents a tool which provides you with the possibility of connecting to a CEN/XFS Logical Service and executing commands or queries on it. The service instance form is the alleged killer feature of the application, enabling "raw access" to the underlying CEN/XFS service providers without writing even a single line of code. It supports all the versions of the CEN/XFS standard and all service classes of the CEN/XFS standard.

[Services Module]Services Module
Lists the configured CEN/XFS logical services of your system. It allows you to overview the logical services properties and to create new service instances which connect to a specified logical service.
[Structures Module]Structures Module
Provides an organized reference to the CEN/XFS standard. It encapsulates the relationships between different CEN/XFS definitions and structures. Provides hyperlinks to speed-up the access to the required information from the CEN/XFS standard.
[Events Module]Events Module
The Events module is a form where the received CEN/XFS events (also called messages) are displayed. This is the place where all CEN/XFS events are collected from each service instances.
[Documents Module]Documents Module
Lists the PDF files accessible for the application. The application provides an integrated tool to open and read PDF documentations from different sources. However this module was created for the CEN/XFS standard documentation, you can bring any kind of PDF document and open it in the environment of the application.
[Trace Viewer Module]Trace Viewer Module
The Trace Viewer module lists the logging events. This tool is very useful to follow in deep details what it is going on in the application. The Trace Viewer collects the log events produced by the application.
[Trace Filter Module]Trace Filter Module
This is a tool which builds filter expressions. The filter expressions are based on .NET's lambda expressions using the C# language. Expressions can be constructed using the wizard, but advanced users can use the editor to construct filters using programming language expressions.
[Document Viewer]Document Viewer
An integrated tool to open and view PDF documents inside the application. It offers a tabbed PDF viewer with the possibility to lay out multiple documents as you wish for a better user experience. The Document Viewer is integrated into the application in a way that allows to automatically jump to the page which contains information about the currently selected CEN/XFS structure.
[External Tools]External Tools
The application allows you to launch custom defined external tools from the Tools menu such as frequently used programs or files. It can be compared to Visual Studio's external tools feature.
[CEN/XFS Configuration Editor]CEN/XFS Configuration Editor
Provides tools for browsing and modifying the CEN/XFS configuration of your system. You can browse or edit the Logical Services configuration, the XFS Manager configuration, the Service Providers configuration, the Physical Services configuration, and the Management Providers configuration.
[Error Reporting]Error Reporting
The application provides you with a tool to report errors back to the creator of the software. This improves the quality of the application and the effectiveness of the support.
